1. YouTube Channels
In a blog post Friday, YouTube confirmed rumors that they are jumping into competition with cable companies and will soon offer “YouTube Channels.” According to YouTube, this new content will directly compete with cable channels like MTV, ESPN and CNN. They say their goal is to make YouTube the place viewers turn to for everything from comedy to nightly news.

2. Google Reader Update / Outrage
Google Reader was updated and a lot of people are not too excited about it. Along with many UI changes, Google removed several key features that many users have used for a long time. Do you miss old features or did you welcome the updates? Let us know in the comments.

3. Google+ Updates
As usual, Google added more features to Google+ this week. YouTube integration and a few Chrome extensions were the highlights.

4. Galaxy Nexus Date
Well, we still don’t know a release date for the Galaxy Nexus but the latest rumor claims it will go for sale the week after Thanksgiving.

5. New iPhone Gmail Version? / Google pulls it
iPhone users rejoice! Okay, well only for about five minutes until they actually use the new Gmail app for iOS. After they admitted the app was full of software bugs, Google pulled the app just a few hours after its initial release.

6. New Gmail Design Video
Along with Reader, Google rolled out new features and a new UI to Gmail. We discuss a few of the updates.
