Social media is tricky when it comes to non-profits. There isn't a definitive right way to do it and I think that as our communication mediums evolve along with the people who use them, these non-profits will always have to be experimenting with new ways to get money from their followers.
Good insight Chad: I think that is the problem with social media and nonprofits, "there isn't a definitive right way to do it." Therefore, it leaves a lot of questions and concerns about the approach. How much time? How much money? Is this part of our strategic plan? Is this what our mission calls for? Does this make us a stronger agency? So many concerns without guaranteed results.
I think that I saw recently that the Nook is currently outselling the Kindle. I don't use either but if I were to buy a device for that purpose I'd probably go with the iPad for the versatility.
The Nook did have sales for the moth of March larger than the kindle, but overall the Kindle is way out front, but certainly that can change on a blink.

I don't believe so. There is a place in the market for both and in some instances isn't the iPad over kill for some? The Kindle is still the best selling e-book reader and is intended for a single use which is appealing to an individual who requires just an e-book reader. With that said, don't you think Amazon is working on a new kindle version to add features to further combat the iPad? I would think so.
Has the ipad made the kindle obsolete?
