DiscussionVerizon is releasing their latest emergency response device – SureResponse. The device was debuted at CES 2012 in Las Vegas and is available now to Verizon customers. SureResponse stores medical information; contacts a physician, nurse, or family immediately in the event of an emergency; and can be worn around the neck, wrist, or placed in a docking station. The device is also water resistant up to 3 meters for 30 mins. Utilizing GPS, SureResponse can locate and dispatch EMS personnel in case of an individual’s emergency event.
Using technology to time manage content
Monday is a busy day for most of us. It’s the start of the work week. It’s the start of the school week for children. And, it’s the start of the television viewing week. Well, this Monday poses quite the issue with Monday Night Football, Game 7 of the NLCS, and the final 2012 Presidential debate. The question is posed to you, the listener of Waves of Tech – how can we use technology to time manage Monday’s content? To that point, how do you use technology to manage so many interests and so many variables. We discuss the issue and find that multitasking is but a common thing in today’s tech-based society.
On a final note, we would like to thank Michael and Kevin McAndrew of Talks About Tech. They invited Steve to be a guest on a recent episode of theirs. Be sure to check out their content and support what they are doing in podcasting.
