More NFL and the World Series Game 1: Episode 81
Even with the start of the World Series, we start this show off with a little bit of NFL talk. Tempers flared after the game between the 49ers and Lions. Two young, talented, enthusiastic coaches went head to head in a pivotal early season game to demonstrate team legitimacy. With Harbaugh and Schwartz nearly at fist-a-cuffs after the game, how should the NFL respond or is this thing just been completely blown up? Also, Carson Palmer landed a home a little closer to his Alma Mater. The Bengals dealt Palmer to the Raiders. With Hugh Jackson at the helm and having a past relationship with Palmer, it came of no surprise to many of us. The Raiders handed out a few top draft picks to get Palmer on their sideline. Does this show fans that the team finally means business? Which organization got the better side of the deal? We toss it out there and discuss.
The Fall Classic is upon us. The 2011 World Series hosts two teams that have a very uneventful history together. The Rangers and Cardinals have only met once in inter-league play over the past 7 seasons. Despite their lack of history, this World Series is going to be a great one. The Rangers are entering the Fall Classic for the 2nd time ever while the Cardinals find themselves in the mix for the 18th time. St. Louis is battling for their 11th Series title while the Rangers are seeking their first ever franchise Series victory. Both clubs have powerhouse lineups including the likes of Cruz, Hamilton, Beltre, Pujols, Holliday, and Berkman. The infields of each team boast great fielding skills and canons for arms. The lone question mark in the Series is the absence of dominant starting pitching. Each rotation experienced their own disappointing performances through the ALCS and NLCS. Listen to Dave and Ryan as they battle out who wins the Series. Who do you have taking home the 2011 Fall Classic title?
