It’s week one of the college basketball season and the first rankings have been released. It shouldn’t be a surprise that Duke is at the top. The Big 10 looks like one of the conferences to beat this year as the Big East seems to have taken a small step backward. The PAC 10 is still in somewhat of a rebuilding mode and will the ACC return to dominance?
There have been some early season NBA surprises. The Miami Heat look a tad bit sluggish out of the gate. The Boston Celtics appear to be the team to beat in the East for now…but, will their age catch up with them? The Chicago Bulls are legit. In the West, it looks to be shaping up like the Los Angeles Lakers and everyone else. Can a surprise team out West make a run at the Lakers like Oklahoma City did in the playoffs last year?
Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson or Kevin Harvick? NASCAR couldn’t have hoped for a better way to end the season. Three, maybe more, drivers have a chance at taking the chase going into the last race of the season. Homestead-Miami Speedway this Sunday…will you be watching?
