Show Notes

The Phillies topped the NL East yet again in 2010 and made the standout free agent signing of the off season. However, the Braves have made additions of their own and with the Marlins and Nationals bringing through some excellent young players, this division is far from being a forgone conclusion. The one certainty could be that the Mets are going to stink.

How is your bracket looking? There are probably a third of you out of contention already in your NCAA brackets, possibly more if you listened to Ryan’s pre-tournament predictions, but there are still plent of reasons to watch this weekend even if you struggled in your office pool. Thursday, we are treated to Connecticut vs. San Diego State, BYU vs. Florida, Duke vs. Arizona and Butler vs. Wisconsin. Friday’s second course will be Marquette vs. North Carolina, Kansas vs. Richmond, Ohio St. vs. Kentucky, and VCU vs. Florida St. Get your popcorn ready.

The NFL has recently made some rule changes that aren’t sitting too well with their fans or their players. Roger Goodell and his fellow NFL employees have been looking in to ways to make the game of football safer. The new rules state that NFL kickoffs will start at the 35 yard line instead of the 30, a move the NFL hopes will cause more touch backs and thus fewer injuries. Is that what is really going to happen? Or are we just eliminating the most entertaining and explosive play in football?

Enjoy the rest of your week!
