Enjoying the show, guys! Heads up, though... Don't think that dropping those McDonalds jobs in favor of automation creates just as many jobs in a different sector. It results in a few design jobs in America, maybe, but the manufacturing jobs go overseas where we've essentially outsourced slavery so we can get nice cheap cool gadgets here. =) Problem is, our economy is crumbling as a result. Now we have tons of unemployed people and the fed is just creating dollars right and left out of thin air - so now we're seeing big inflation... (They hide this - look up "hedonics") ... So soon we won't even get cheap stuff by our overseas slave labor. What's happening is America is turning into a nation of peasants, slowly but surely... They say "Well eventually things will balance." Exactly. US Workers will make just as little as our foreign worker competitors... Meanwhile, more and more wealth will be concentrated at the top. I know this is a Tech show, but what's interesting is also how the coming collapse of America as we know it -- technology will play a huge part in undermining any chance of a real resistance to form. Bad, bad things are afoot. Anyhow, good show.

Thank you for the comment Junkyard. I'm not stating I am in favor of of automation over personal employment but unfortunately it's a reality as time has documented. As you are aware our show attempts to bring to light the impacts of technology and life in which here was a story that depicted such an issue. I believe my point in this story is throughout time, inventions and tech have increased and has always impacted the work place and more specifically the individual; however, it isn't something we can stop. I certainly agree with you the economics and political ramification can and most likely will be detrimental. It's always been a shame our own U.S. Corporations send work overseas for higher profits in lieu of supporting their own country and citizens. Though Waves of Tech is more tech driven, the impacts and effects of tech as time moves is more important to understand than ever before.
