The NFL’s Black Monday isn’t a holdiay struggling football coaches look forward to. The Vikings, Cowboys, Broncos and 49ers have already fired their head coaches and once the final whistle blows on Sunday, plenty of teams will be looking for a similar change. The AFC coaches who may be looking over their shoulder include Sporano, Del Rio, Fisher, Kubiak, Mangini and Lewis. While, Coughlin, Garrett, Frasier, Fox and Wisenhunt could be in jeopardy in the NFC. There are some big names out there that are looking to “maybe” take head coaching positions in 2011. John Gruden, Bill Cowher, Brian Billick and Jim Harbaugh are just a few. If Jeff Fisher loses his job in Tennessee, look for teams to scoop him up immediately. This is a “what have you done for me lately” league and sometimes a change is what is needed for a team to turn around.
Let’s go bowling! With thirty-five games spread over a five-week period, there is no way you have time to watch every college football bowl game. Let Dave and Ryan tell you which ones to watch as they preview the six or seven games that really matter. Didn’t life seem easier when all of these games were on New Year’s Day? Instead, we end the year with the Chick-fil-A Bowl and we begin 2011 with the TicketCity Bowl. Ugh…pass the champagne.
Happy New Year!
