The majority of us remember the days of lettering writing, making long distance phone calls to friends, and having hour long conversations by the camp fire. Times do change. Many of us now engage in social network sites, create online relationships, and email important news events. A list of factors made the evolution of skyscrapers a reality. Consider the iron and steel industry and its dominance through the Industrial Revolution. How about the advancements in education, specifically in the disciplines of engineering, architecture, and design? As immigration increased and as urban populations increased, it created a demand for taller buildings. These factors, and many others, jolted the construction industry and began to develop a newer urban landscape that would change our nation’s identity. Missouri is most known for being the “Gateway to the West” and that is symbolized by The Gateway Arch in St. Louis, a beautiful spectacle of architecture and ingenuity. Lewis & Clark travelled through Missouri on their famous expedition and have several notable landmarks along the way. Some amazing tourists spots such as Lake of the Ozarks & Branson will fill your time with upbeat entertainment, waterfront views, and relaxing dining. The Budweiser Brewing Company is a staple in the state and it adds its own cultural flavor to Missouri. Join us as we flash past to Famous Missouri Landmarks.
