The 1970s – What a tumultuous time in American history & American culture. The music evolved just as our culture did. The music of the 70s can be known for its experimental stages of music. Genres such as arena rock, disco, progressive rock, singer-songwriter, and blues rock swept through the decade. Artists such as The Eagles, Bee Gees, Aerosmith, Chicago, and Eric Clapton emerged as musical icons. Let us not forget the contributions from the international music scene that gave us the likes of ABBA, Elton John, Pink Floyd, and many more.
